Terms & Conditions


All bookings must comply with our Hire Terms as set out below.

You should ensure we have been supplied with any change of contact, venue or event details different to those supplied on the booking form we have sent you. We will not be responsible for any unknown change of details where you have not supplied and subsequently sought our acknowledgment of any changes to the booking details. Please use email to confirm any changes, avoiding use of text messaging and social media messaging as these can be unreliable and are not our primary method of contact. 

Should you wish to amend the delivery or collection time from that stated on the booking form then this will strictly be subject to our availability as once booked, we may be working around other bookings and therefore we may be unable to offer a later collection time.

Delivery fees are based on a venue being within 5 miles of a central postcode area. Where it applies, we will notify you at the time of booking if any additional delivery fees appply for rural or other areas falling within a large postocode area.

If we cannot accept your booking we will notify you and refund any monies paid. This excludes refunds where we cancel the booking because it breaches our terms and conditions. 

Please ensure that before submitting a booking, you fully read the full package or item description on the website as well as our terms and conditions page, as these constitute a binding agreement between us upon your booking. 


A  non-refundable deposit of £25.00 is required in advance to book soft play packages, with the balance due no later than 3 weeks before the hire date. If the outstanding balance is not received by the due date then the booking will be immediately cancelled. We will send you a reminder by email and text before the due date, though we are not responsible if they fail to reach you for any reason as it remains your responsibility to make the due payment on time. Any bookings made within 3 weeks of the hire date require full payment.

Cancellation by You

You may cancel a booking but you will not be eligible for a refund of any monies already paid at the time of cancellation.

Cancellation by Us (Spotty Frogs)

We reserve the right to cancel or terminate your booking should any of the following apply:

  • Adverse weather conditions prevent the safe delivery / set up / use of the equipment.
  • Access to or the state of the venue, or the outside area or the hire room is unacceptably inadequate.
  • Final Balance has not been received by the due date.
  • Terms and Conditions of hire as stated herein are not adhered to.


We will endeavour to arrive in plenty of time to set up the equipment at the agreed time however, we are not responsible for any delay incurred through unforeseen circumstances, i.e. severe traffic problems, severe bad weather etc, and we will always keep you informed of any possible delays. In any event, we will arrive in time to set up for the start time of your party as stated by you on your booking form. 

Should we need to cancel your booking due to severe weather conditions making it unsafe to drive, vehicle breakdown (where we have no immediate replacement at short notice), illness, accident or emergency relating to persons delivering and setting up the equipment, or loss, damage or theft of equipment, we will refund you in full.


Soft Play

Set Up

We will only deliver to a ground floor venue. An additional cost will apply to set up on anything other than a ground floor due to the additional time it will incur to set up and remove. We will not set up at any venue that has more than one set of 2 steps to access the venue or room we are setting up in without incurring an additional cost. Please check the venue and notify us at the time of booking so we can confirm the extra cost. Failure to notify us and agree in advance will result in a bill being sent after the event, payable within 7 days, for additional time incurred at £15 per half hour or part thereof.

Our hire time is between 9am to 6pm 7 days a week, excluding bank holiays. Bookings outside of these times may be possible however, an additional cost will be payable. Please ask for details BEFORE booking. Latest standard collection time is 6pm unless agreed in advance at the time of booking.

Please check with your venue or outside garden area in advance that the floor area where we will lay our matting will be clean, dry and free of dirt, dust and any obstacles. Where appropriate we may lay less matting but this may result in less play equipment being provided due to health and safety reasons caused by lack of space or items in the room that have not been removed and thus cause restrictions.

Our outdoor packages (May to September only) are not supplied with matting however, we do provide a large ground sheet if the grass is wet upon our arrival and will only be laid on a clean, flat grassed area. We will NOT cover concrete, gravel, slabs or other hard surfaces or areas with no grass.

We will need between 30 and 60 minutes to set up the equipment depending which package and extra items you have booked, and roughly the same time to pack up and remove the equipment. Please take this into account when booking venue times.

Children should be kept clear of the play area during set up and removal. The external and internal doors to the venue will be required to be left open as we go back and forth to the van to bring the equipment in, followed by moving and assembling the equipment, etc, and when we carry large boxes or equipment, we cannot see toddlers and young children walking in front of us, or who block doorways, etc. This is a safety issue for your child and causes us disruption  and delay to set up and removal. We hope these reasons explain the need for the children to be kept safe and at a  distance during this time. Please also ask adults to refrain from helping to set up or dismantle/remove or pack our equipment as we first need to inspect and check items before we return them to our vehicle.

Please leave or allow adequate parking space as close as possible to the entry doors for delivery and collection times, and not more than 10 metres from the doorway to the venue. There should be no hills or obstacles to encounter.

Any obstructions out of our control may case a delay to access the venue or the set-up time. Any significant delay over 15 minutes of the agreed arrival time to allow us to start setting up, or 15 minutes beyond the maximum set-up time, will result in an additional fee of £10 per half hour or part thereof for our waiting time to set-up, or we reserve the right to cancel your booking and leave the venue without setting up, in this case you will not receive any refund for any monies paid for the booking,  but we stress this is in exceptional circumstances only or where you refuse to pay an additional fee for our waiting time.

We strongly advise you ring the venue the day before your booking to ensure someone will be there to open up and let us in at the agreed time, that we have clear access to parking close to the venue doors as is reasonably expected, and that the room is ready for us to set up (e.g. clear of any tables and chairs, etc) as we are NOT responsible for clearing any areas in order to set up).

Please bear in mind that the booking fee covers our time to deliver and collect as stated above, and the hire time of the equipment. It does NOT cover waiting time caused by any delays.

We can only deliver equipment to a venue that has adequate space and we will not be responsible for moving or removing any other items such as furniture, chairs, tables, etc. If the area is not big enough for the equipment, we will arrange with you for an appropriately scaled package to be left, but this will not result in any part or full refund of monies paid.

Where we are delivering outdoor packages, the garden area must be safe, secure and fully enclosed. The equipment and children using it must be supervised by the Hirer or a suitable adult at all times and never left unattended or unsupervised. Garden areas must be clean and free of dog mess, litter, dirt, soil, stones, obstacles and anything that may cause or contribute to a hazard. Should we leave items on concrete, mats will be supplied and equipment must NOT be removed off the mats onto concrete or other hard areas or used on concrete or hard areas.

We take photographs of all our set-ups prior to leave for evidence of correct set up and to verify what items we have left on hire with you. We also reserve the right to use photographs on our website and other internet mediums however should you prefer we did not do this, simply let us know. We will not take photographs of any children on the equipment at your venue.

In exceptional circumstances our available equipment may vary therefore we reserve the right to withdraw an item due to any previous damage or health and safety issue. Where possible, we will supply an alternative item in its place. NO refund is due for any alternative items supplied in these circumstances.

Our play equipment is strictly only suitable for children aged 1 to 5 years old and is not for babies who cannot physically support themselves safely onto or around the equipment without  adult assistance at all times. Certain items, as advertised will have minimum and maximumage limits - please read and abide by the age limits or height restrictions as stated on each item or package advertised.

There must be a responsible adult over the age of 18 supervising children at all times who must not be under the influence of drink or drugs. Please ensure a ratio of adults to children. We recommend a ratio one adult per 5 children.

The Hirer must ensure that the play equipment and matting is not dismantled or moved from the play area (i.e. off the matting) after set-up, except when it is necessary to remove it from the play area for safe-keeping until collection due to damage or a health and safety reason. Equipment must not leave the room it was set up in, be taken or used outdoors, or placed in another room under any circumstances. Do not use the soft play area or the equipment we have provided if it becomes unsafe to do so for any reason.

If we are required to set up without you being present at the venue, we will only leave the equipment at the venue if it is manned by the venue staff or a person representing you, or where you will be able to lock and alarm the venue until your return. Please be aware the equipment remains your responsibility for safe-keeping and safety once we have left the venue or your home premises until we return to collect it, therefore any loss or damage arising due to theft, negligence, etc, will be your responsibility with regards costs for replacement or repairs.

Please do not pack our equipment away. We will do this when we arrive. If any damage or loss is caused which we do not see due to you and or your guests packing up equipment before we arrive, which sometimes means we are unable to check and inform you of any problems before we load it into our vehicle, then you are liable to be billed afterwards once we can return to base and check our equipment fully. We reserve the right to inform you within 14 days of any noted damage or loss to our equipment.

Outdoor Equipment

We will still deliver the outdoor play equipment with the exception of any predicted severe weather forecast for that day. Should you choose to cancel due to weather conditions, no refund or change of date will be possible.

We will not leave our equipment on anything other than a fully grassed area, and not on bare soil or concrete/slabbed, pebbled, limestone or other surface areas due to abrasive damage or excessive dirt occurring.

We will only deliver our outdoor equipment to a private secure garden. This excludes lawns that are open to any side and which is not securely fenced and gated to ensure our equipment is not stolen or damaged.

Should it rain, you will be responsible for drying the outdoor equipment prior to use by the children. You should ensure any of the outdoor equipment is kept clean and free of damage. We will refuse to leave our equipment should be find dog mess in the garden and you will be asked to remove this otherwise the booking will be terminated and no refund will be possible where you have failed to comply with this health and safety requirement.

In the event of adverse weather, you should consider booking an indoor venue. We will not refund due to adverse weather or rain, or other reasons that you wish to cancel for, therefore do be aware that booking outdoor packages is your decision and responsibility.

Rules of Play

It is the responsibility of the person who is hiring the Soft Play Equipment to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury to its users or damage to, or loss of, the equipment. Please ensure that the following Safety Instructions are followed:

  1. The equipment has a user age limit of 1 to 5 years old. Please ensure no-one over this age uses the equipment. No adults are to use this equipment.
  2. No food, drinks, sweets, chewing gum, snacks, baby foods, baby drinks including baby feeding bottles containing any drinks or other liquids or substances to be allowed on or near any of the soft play equipment or within the soft play area.
  3. All footwear (shoes, sandals, boots, slippers, trainers, etc), spectacles, jewellery, badges, belts, etc, MUST be removed before using the equipment.
  4. Adults must also remove their shoes when walking on the matting, including ladies with heels!
  5. For hygiene purposes, socks must be worn at all times on the equipment.
  6. No toys, face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers, bubbles or silly string to be used either on or near the equipment.
  7. Always ensure that the soft play equipment is not overcrowded and limit numbers according to the age, weight and height of the children using it.
  8. Ensure that children are not pushing,  jumping, diving, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others or to damage the equipment.
  9. Do not allow anyone to jump from the tops of  any play equipment.
  10. Ensure that no-one with a history of back or neck problems is allowed on the equipment or any child who is feeling unwell or who is not fit or competent to use the equipment.
  11. The equipment should not be used if it becomes wet, as the surfaces may become slippery. Please clean it with a clean wet cloth and dry it before further use.
  12. If soiling of the equipment occurs the hirer is responsible for cleaning the equipment using ONLY water and domestic washing up liquid – any other type of solution may damage the equipment.
  13. The Ball Pool should be limited to no more than 4 children at any one time and they must be of a similar size and age.
  14. Particular care should be taken when children are exiting the ball pool to ensure no accidents occur. Diving, jumping into, or standing on the side of the Ball Pool is not permitted.
  15. Although the soft play equipment and balls from the ball pool are cleaned after every event it is recommended that supervising adults discourage children from placing balls or other parts of the play equipment into or near their mouths for hygiene purposes.
  16. Soft play equipment must not be thrown around or moved off the play area. Any stray balls must be collected and returned back to the ball pool before collection.
  17. No more than 2 children allowed to sit on the Feber Gus Tunnel at any one time and this item requires close adult supervision at all times. Do not allow children to stand on this item.
  18. There must be no smoking or naked flames near the Soft play equipment.
  19. Children must not stand up on any of the play equipment seats such as the ride-ons and hoppers, etc, or other items not designed or safe for standing on.
  20. Children must not be allowed to use the ride-ons, rockers and hoppers to  deliberately run into another item of play equipment, walls, furniture or into or onto other children.
  21. Only the equipment we supply is permitted into the soft play area we have set up.
  22. Do not stick anything to our equipment such as sellotape, blue tack or other fixings, nor attempt to affix balloons, banners or any other items.
  23. We reserve the right to instantly pack up and remove any and all of our equipment if these terms of hire and rules of play are not adhered to by the hirer and the people using our equipment.


We will not tolerate any abuse or unacceptable behaviour towards our staff or equipment or failure to adhere to the Hire Terms. Where necessary we reserve the right, which you agree to upon booking, to immediately terminate the booking and remove our equipment. In the case of any serious verbal or physical abuse, threats , assault, damage or neglect to our equipment, we will immediately request Police assistance and will in every case possible, bring charges as appropriate for any criminal or civil cases against those involved.

Civil action through Money Claim Online will also be sought where you fail to make payment within 14 days for any charges we levy against you for delays as described above, significant cleaning or replacement of equipment which is damaged, lost or otherwise, and may result in a CCJ being set against you.

Should you make an attempt to do a PayPal or Debit/Credit chargeback or similar attempt to wrongly retreive monies paid, where the service has been booked and or provided to you, in accordance with these terms and conditions, or where the payment was a non-refundable deposit, we will take court action to retrieve any amounts that are otherwise incorrectly refunded to you by a third party. This may result in you being liable to receiving a County Court Judgement plus court and administration costs.



  • Please note that all persons using the play equipment do so at their own/parents/guardians risk.
  • The person(s) hiring the equipment will be responsible/liable for any damage or injury occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use and a failure to adhere to our Terms and Conditions regarding safe use of the play equipment.
  • These guidelines are for the safety of all people using this equipment and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are fully adhered to at all times.
  • We accept no responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using this equipment.
  • You indemnify us against any claims arising.
  • When hiring the equipment you remain fully and solely responsible for the good working order, security, safety and safe use of the equipment from when we arrive to set up until we have collected the equipment and left the venue.


You agree:

  • I have read the above terms and conditions and fully understand and agree to them.
  • I am aware that whilst in my care I am fully responsible for the equipment and will pay for any loss or damage that may occur, or where the equipment is found to be in an unacceptable condition. i.e. wet or dirty condition, where I will be expected to pay an additional charge based on repair, cleaning or replacement.


You agree to and accept these hire terms when you make your payment. These hire terms are subject to change at any time.
